Building Bridges Between Potential & Opportunity
Scroggins Academy serves middle school students across Mumbwa, Zambia, offering comprehensive training in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. We partner with local schools and communities to bring world-class STEAM programming to students who have historically lacked access to these critical educational resources.
We believe the next generation of African innovators, scientists, and leaders is already here — they simply need the tools, mentorship, and opportunity to rise. That is the work of Scroggins Academy.

Our Story
Born from Scroggins Park
The Scroggins Academy is the vision of Tony Scroggins and Mayeba, born from Scroggins Park. Scroggins Park, built in 2024, was and is the first and only play park in Mumbwa, Zambia. Scroggins Park provides a place for the schools in the town of Mumbwa to bring children from their respective schools to come and enjoy a day at the park.
Scroggins Park has been a popular place for all of the children in the community as well as grade school children.
Scroggins Park is now a part of Scroggins Academy. Scroggins Academy, formed in 2026, seeks to provide Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) programs to the same youth that has for years come to play at our playground.
